Alterratively, they may take up certain courses<br \/>\nprovided by local public universities at private colleges to obtain a public university degree.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026 SINGAPORE \u65b0\u52a0\u5761 \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026<br \/>\nSince 1997, UEC graduates have been exempt from entrance examination by NUS and NTU.<br \/>\nFrom 1998 arwards, each year about 500 MICSS graduates enrolled at these two universities.<br \/>\nSingapore Management University (founded in 2000) and Singapore Polytechnics also accept<br \/>\napplications from MICSS graduates.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026 TAIWAN \u53f0\u6e7e \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026<br \/>\nPreviously, Taiwan had been the most popular choice of MICSS graduates. In recent years,<br \/>\nthe number of students furthering studies in Taiwan had somewhat dropped due to the stiff<br \/>\ncompetition with local colleges as well as Singapore universities. Our government has<br \/>\nofficially recognised 8 Taiwanese universities\u2019 degree in Medicine and 2 Taiwanese<br \/>\nuniversities\u2019 degree Pharmacy courses.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026 U.S.A.\u7f8e\u56fd \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026<br \/>\nThere are 3,500 Institutions of higher learning across the USA. Most of them<br \/>\nrecognise UEC as the 12th year equiualent of high school education that meets their<br \/>\nentry requirements. Thus, the number of US universities recognising UEC far exceeds<br \/>\nthe list below. MICSS graduates may apply for admission by means of UEC along<br \/>\nwith TOEFL or by taking the credit transfer programme linked up with US<br \/>\nuniversities.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026 AUSTRALIA \u6fb3\u6d32 \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026<br \/>\nAustralian universities, for the most part, accept the UEC holders with IELTS<br \/>\nqualification. UEC holders have two option, they may either apply for direct entry or<br \/>\ntake up the 3+0, credit transfer or twinning programme conducted by local colleges in<br \/>\ncollaboration with Australian universities. Twinning programme or 3+0 degree<br \/>\nprogramme are more popular with MICSS students as a stepping stone to Australian<br \/>\nuniversities\u2019 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026 NEW ZEALAND \u7ebd\u897f\u5170 \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026<br \/>\nUEC is widely accepted by the New Zealand\u2019s universities.UEC holders would take<br \/>\nup courses provided by with New Zealand universities at local private colleges.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026 BRITAIN \u82f1\u56fd \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026<br \/>\nThe British universities accept UEC as equivalent to AS level. Generally the Scottish<br \/>\nuniversities accept UEC students. Fewer UEC holders take up twinning programme or<br \/>\n3+0 degree programme linked up with universities in the UK due to the exorbitant<br \/>\ntuition fees and living expenses.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026 CANADA\u52a0\u62ff\u5927 \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026<br \/>\nAbout 10 universities in Canada directly admit UEC students. The rest of them<br \/>\nrequire the students to study at pre-u for 9 months.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026 CHINA \u4e2d\u56fd \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026<br \/>\nAn increasing number of UEC holders now go to China to further their studies. A total<br \/>\nof 560 universities in China recognize the UEC qualification and no Chinese<br \/>\nProficiency Test (HSK) certificate is required.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026 JAPAN \u65e5\u672c \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026<br \/>\nUEC is widely accepted by Japanese institutions of higher learning.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026 FRANCE \u6cd5\u56fd \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026<br \/>\nFrance also accepts UEC holders\u2019 application for admission to its universities and<br \/>\ncolleges.
